While we wait for ROM reprogramming... let's drill holes!

Hi everybody. Thanks to Atom and may other members of this group, I finally put hands on modding my old Poly 800. Currently I implemented moogslayer (with Olaf's toggle switch for Factory/Moogslayer modes), FM 800, 12dB/24dB filter response and Noise pot (again with a factory/ perform switch). Soon I'll wire the VCF audio input mod. I'm impressed by the sounds my Poly can produce now. It's the perfect machine for rumbling sub-basses and R2D2 bleeps. Not to mention dirty fat bass sounds. I read in one thread (http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/korgpolyex/ message/362) about bypassing the noise gate. It really gets annoying when it chops off the tails of the sounds. I can't seem to understand the description. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. I'm uploading a couple photos to the Photos section. I'm planning to give my Poly a whole paintjob once i'm done with modding and repairing the broken keys. And once I get a real hardware comp/ limiter I'll be uploading some samples to Atom's page. BR, Dave
