hi,

i have read about someone who powerd the poly 800 of the midi cable,
so that no power is needed. (the power if form the 5 volt midi power)
does anyone know how to make this happen?

I wouldn't think this would be a very good idea, as it would strain the
power supply of whatever it's midid (midid!?) to.

Moreover, I would bet that a lot of the non-logic
parts of the machine need voltage greater than 5V; the
actual synth engine and the audio preamp, for
two...mike
