Moog Slayer in effect!!!!!!

Moog Slayer in effect!!!!!!

2005-01-09 by imperial_tee

Yes!!! I installed the moog slayer mod. Thanks for the advice Russ, that soldering is
tricky indeed.

I really wanted to keep the face plate on so I drilled the taper pot holes straight
though the bottom quadrant of the plate from the inside. To my surprise it ended up
on the edge of the faceplate on the outside? It looks great (in my opinion) and you can
still read the korg name and model number. Check out the photos I posted.

I'm really glad I did this mod. It turned my mediocre hybrid synth into a bubbling
chirping monster. I wish I would have recorded some patches before I did the mod so
I could compare them now. People aren't kidding when they say this could blow your
speakers and ears, when the oscillator starts self oscillating, the volume jumps
incredibly.

My best regards for Atom for showing us non-electronic people how to trick out your
synth!

I love my EX-800!!!

I agree completely. I've never seen a more quick and simple mod with
such a big payoff. I like mine so much I actually added oak end
cheeks to the thing. I am a dork, but it looks really cool.

Haven't touched the chorus. Too lazy, & distracted by the Alesis
Micron I got, which is awesome...

If I play a place a show that Im not going to play that place again. I have the slayer patch that has fried speakers. I make sure i test volume at half and kept the slayer tame as can be for live. But it will blow speaker the mids ..I had no idea I suppose its padded to low for the speakers .
