I'm running the upgrade (os 1.06) for the SH32... and as far as i can tell it didnt change squat ;P the filter didnt step really that bad to begin with. (ensoniq SQ80 is much worse) most people were just bitching...they were probably comparing it to a real analog filter... because that's something it's not. and i just tryed it ... the Unison mode on the SH32 does ALMOST the same thing as on the polly. but i like how the poly does it better... more bleepy-nintendoish-chiptunes-goodness :D the poly800 is like the SQUARE WAVE GURU :) --- In korgpolyex@yahoogroups.com, x x <alienxxx2002@y...> wrote: > there is an update for sh32 on roland websight im waiting for my sh32 in the mail i will add the update when it arrives they dont say what it fixes if i know roland it fixed the filter stepping that allot peeps bitched about we shall see.got my ef 303 today it is cool as phuckkkkk. > so get the upgrade for the sh32 let me know what it does ..... > > Alexander <arf_hotdogdeity@y...> wrote: > FYI the SH32's chord mem lags like that too i'm firing it up to see if > i get the same effect! > > --- In korgpolyex@yahoogroups.com, x x <alienxxx2002@y...> wrote: > > kick ass good idea just ran in to try it out......Now why didnt I > think of that:) > > > > Alexander <arf_hotdogdeity@y...> wrote:holy crap this sounds cool as > heck! very commodore64-esque > > > > did this on my poly800MK2 dont know if the other ones do it the same > > but here goes: > > > > first - crank yourself out a nice square lead patch, double DCO and > > detune level 1 > > > > second - put kbd on hold mode and play all 5 'C' keys then switch to > > chord memory > > > > third - WHACK a 6 or 8 finger chord (yes both hands... as many notes > > as possible... in fact it doesnt even have to be a chord just a buncha > > notes) and i mean WHACK... so they ALL trigger at the same time... > > > > the poly's slowass 1980's CPU will lag to hell and 'step' up through > > the notes kinda like an arpeggiator!!!! it sounds COOL AS HELL... > > > > the more notes, the longer lag before it sets on the highest note > pressed. > > > > just one more reason why this synth RULES!!! > > > > > > > > Yahoo!
