I just performed the slayer mod as well...in terms of what dubbed it as the "Moog Slayer" (which I assume would be the massively overdriven resonance), I don't think it's phenomanel or anything, BUT, just haveing the realtime filter/res control makes the mod worth doing by far. At first I was thinking the Poly800 to be fairly on par with the Juno 106, and the other lesser Juno models, as well as the Jx3p...but with the knobs, it wins. Now I just need to find a nice moog sticker, and a slayer sticker (shouldn't be TOO hard), and then add some slits to the end of my worn belt for a shoulder strap and walla....instant rockstar mode :b Byron > -----Original Message----- > From: reidar@jorgensen.com [mailto:reidar@jorgensen.com] > Sent: Sunday, February 01, 2004 5:55 PM > To: korgpolyex@yahoogroups.com > Subject: [korgpolyex] Moogslayer verdict > > > > Well, I did the work, and here's my summary. > > Cool! > > Maybe not as mind- (or speaker-) blowing as I expected, but definitely > usable, and definitely worth doing. > > There are two hand-drawn diagrams in the photos section (inside the Folder > in the first entry).
