Yes, it definitely is the correct EPROM for an EX-800.
When you say, "it still did not work", does that means blank displays? Or no switch/keypad actions? Or no MIDI response and no sounds?

Well after installing the newly programmed eprom it still did not work, but strangely enough it works fine with a Poly-800 eprom. I found another version of ex800 eprom, will try that tomorrow. I wonder if eprom labeled 840206 is correct one for ex800?
