When I first received my Poly 800 I cleaned it up inside and out. I do this all of the time with my synths so it's not a new procedure for me. I usually don't fiddle with the circuitry unless I'm doing a mod and have familiarized myself with what needs to be done. So, I was looking for the possible battery terminals on a pc board and I had never seen those kind of trim pots before so I thought it may be one of the batteries (silly, I know, but I was more hopeful than careful). In touching one to inspect it, I turned it slightly. I turned it back immediately to where it was, at least relatively. What are those three trim pots all alone on that little board nearest the battery compartment? The pot I touched was the top one if you are looking at it from the front where the keys would be if the top were closed. Turns out my Poly is an early edition without the terminals. That's fine I can add a battery later. Another question: it seems as though the filter kicks in too hard or intensely too quickly when you pull back on the stick. My Poly 61 had a great action for the joystick filter while this Poly's is performance is poor. Is there a way to adjust, recalibrate or modify the onset of filtering when you use the joystick? Thanks!
