Great questions. Thanks for the response. I can answer most of these.
I did get a GOOD on the LCD after the Load (write was enabled) - although after going through the parameters for the factory patches, they did not match. Joystick and sequencer seem to work and so do all the keys (they all make a noise).
I have not tried to write a patch (I'll try that). Looking inside, everything looks good (no apparent damage). The pitch is interesting because some of the patches that make sounds are wobbly.
I'll see if I can write patch and check the other things and post back...
