Korg Poly800/EX800 Users

Hey all
I have what appears to be some sort of mod to my newly 
acquired poly 800. It's a 5 pin male din socket on the back that 
disappears under the main board of the synth as seen in the attached 
photos. Just wondering if anyone knows what this may possibly do to see 
if its worth investigating further. I don't think its any sort of midi 
thing given its a male socket but could be wrong.
