I don't think you can use MP3 for this type of digital data. MP3 was  
invented for digital audio, and use compression on the base of some  
psychoacoustic science.

It's loss compression, probably it will somehow damage digital data.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
