Hooray!
Managed to graft a new battery holder on the to pcb of my EX-800 in place of the
dead one originally soldered in place. I can now save patches! :D

I was mislead by the seller who said "perfect working order, plugged it in
yesterday works fine." and forgot to mention that its battery was dead and the
half hour's worth of programming I gleefully did on receiving it/him/her would
be made redundant on switching it off again.
If anyone else also needs to swap out their original hard wired battery, here
are the tutorials I used, albeit for the Poly-800.
