there are certainly many ways in which you can patch in to the various stages. Especially, people mod the Poly to intercept the filter input since the filter (NJM2069) is really nice. The DCO's are DCO's so there's not much you can do with them which also means that they are the major sound producing limitation of the Poly. Quite a few of the features of the Poly are done entirely in software and use an digital to analog converter to control such as the modulation, VCF and resonance so it would be almost impossible to make any of those controls modular. You can find the schematic in the files section here http://f1.grp.yahoofs.com/v1/lKyLURzS0lvJSZRD3HG9YRfp0S-9eEQyEkpobRvn-3J5f6izp0xCO85xLiWE6MTg-0y8JCIPsUZAlBGErvBx/1%29%20Poly-800/Servicing/P800Schematic.zip Mike ________________________________ From: beksiak <antoni_beksiak@...> To: korgpolyex@yahoogroups.com Sent: Thursday, May 9, 2013 9:23 AM Subject: [korgpolyex] modularize hello, just a stupid quesyion perhaps, since i'm unable to analyze the schematic properly and i didn't find a detailed breakdown of it anywhere. i also didn't find this topic on rhe forum. is there a possibility to disconnect the blocks of the poly-800, wire it to a patchbay grid or i/o sockets and reconfigure with wires? in other words make a modular out of it? and perhaps chain it to external devices this way? thanks in advance
