Yes, the early versions of the Poly-800 main board did not have a location for the lithium backup battery. And instructions for installing your own can be found in the Poly-800 Servicing file section here: http://f1.grp.yahoofs.com/v1/tFBtUSDu9aj3ccnxlZvE0mv7Zq6B08_Rsz514mGGfhYQ9yfYwvViPX_XY1T4-7YDiC_ycII1AXITVdEynUHq/1%29%20Poly-800/Servicing/poly8batt.txt Mike ________________________________ From: eric justin <djericjustin@...> To: korgpolyex@yahoogroups.com Sent: Monday, April 15, 2013 2:43 PM Subject: [korgpolyex] Poly 800 mk1 with no internal battery terminals Hey gang I was just about to start on my 5th poly 800 mod when I noticed something that I haven't run into before. This poly doesn't have terminals to soldier a lithium battery to. Is this a very early model with a different motherboard?
