I wish I had, but was a bit in a rush and didnt even have time to properly let the scope cool down. Here's a link to a pic a couple other people did. The first one is how I saw it with the two Jovian moons opposite each other.. http://www.flickr.com/photos/kevin-palmer/8404562046/sizes/o/in/photostream/ This one must have been a different day, I dont see Jovian moons, but click on the Original and Jupiter is big enough to see a couple bands on it. http://www.flickr.com/photos/jeff-guck-in-die-luft/8403623239/sizes/c/in/photostream/ The event was quite breathtaking to see.. the 8* weather outside was even more so! -Blaine Here's a music vid for Martin.. Pink Floyd Echoes synced to 2001: Jupiter and Beyond the Infinite. (like wizard of Oz synched to DSoM) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rn7MmS3vazU -Blaine --- In korgpolyex@yahoogroups.com, Michael Hawkins wrote: > > Please tell me you had a digital camera attached and can share the view with all of us that had nothing but cloud last night. :-( > > > > > ________________________________ > From: bimmerfan222 > To: korgpolyex@yahoogroups.com > Sent: Monday, January 21, 2013 7:17 PM > Subject: [korgpolyex] OT - Jovian/Lunar Event > > > Â > Just now came in from setting up my 4" reflector scope. > > Tonight Jupiter and the moon both fit in my 20x EP. > They are amazingly close to each other tonight. > > Amazing view, the Moon 2/3, Jupiter, and two of Jupiters moons opposite each other.. all fit in one single FOV. > > Anyway, thought I'd share since Astronomy has come up before.. perfect 10* evening for crisp views... > > -Blaine >
