Were both units unmodified? Depending on how the mod was performed, just adding those pots can make a big difference in sound. Heres how i did mine. Before doing anything i measured the resistance of the factory trim pots. After that i carefully removed them. Then i installed the pots and an on/off switch for the moog slayer mod. I wired the mod circuit to the "on" position and wired the original trims to the "off" position. I taped them up and rechecked the resistance to make sure it hadnt changed. That way i can select the modified powered filter circuit or the completely original stock circuit. I can tell you that engaging the slayer mod makes a big difference in sound, regardless of where the new pots are set to, simply because of the extra power to the filter. Were both Poly's stock? The V1 has a filter cut off and res potard added to it, but that's the only mod i think that was done to it. >Anybody ever did a A/B on unmodified ones? do you think it's normal? > >best >K > > > > > > > >
