I think the actual Hawk800 was always working but i was having other issues entirely. The only real issues i had with the Hawk was that the smaller IC socket ribbon connector kept popping out of the socket but i see you mentioned that in the manual. I might get a better quality socket asnd see if that helps, or cable tie it in.
