Alex, From my memory, 177 bytes seems right. But I checked the MIDI implementation chart and my own knowledge of the code that I wrote and something seems a little off here. I will check the SYSEX code when I get home this evening. You could post your sysex of the patch in the files section and I'll check that out too.
