Hi Mike, I'm the one who posted the instructions,along with another member who took photos of the procedure... First off,from my recollection, the "Sticky Button" problem should be fixed by cleaning the edges of the button with alcohol along with the inside surface of the button socket. I don't remember there being any mechanical reason for this problem, other than build up and muck... Try that and see if it works. Also,make sure that when after you cleaned the contact during the initial cleaning that you did, that you inserted the contact disc correctly into the contact housing (dome side pointing up). The contact not only acts as the primary contact point for the button,but also as a "spring" to give the button it's momentary functionality. The button is actually a very simple momentary switch that you could easily service unless there is physical damage to any of the assembly pieces... Hit me up if you need any further assistance..
