I am very conscious of the fact that people often buy the Poly 800 because they are cash strapped in the first place. One of the reasons that it's been so much fun to put all of this new ability into the Poly 800 is that it will make an incredibly cheap keyboard capable of things only much more expensive old synthesizers can do. But I've spent over a year disassembling the software and then rewriting it with all of this new stuff. So the price is a bit of a trade off between considerations. On the one hand you have musicians on low budgets while on the other hand you have my wife and children!
