Just as we are in it... Mike, surely you
must have heard that, even in idle mode, the Poly 800 MK I will spit out lots of
controller messages (i think it was CC 1 or 2) with zero values that clog up the
MIDI stream real fast. That has always been a big drag.

I have controlled drum machine from Poly`s sequencer. Alesis Hr-16
reacted to pressing Start/Stop, and to tempo change as well.
I havent tried to check MIDI OUT with Ext MIDI clock. But I think in
this case OUT is without MIDI clock data.
I am going to re-connect and try out... lets wait...
