Mike's new retrofit upgrade will add many new functions to your EX800 and Poly 800 MK 1 but will require removing IC29 (address decoder chip) and replacing it with a 16 pin IC socket.
Do you feel confident that you can do the desoldering of this chip in order to add the retrofit kit?
o Yes very confident - I've done a lot of hardware modifications before.
o Yes but I'll need to be careful - I've only done basic hardware modifications.
o Not really - I don't have much hardware modification experience at all.
o No - I've never modified any hardware before and I wouldn't know where to start.
o No - I don't even know what soldering is.
