This IS the same process for the Poly800 I as well. I did this mod on a poly800 I and it worked fine.
Hey y'all. I'm a total noob and I just bought a poly 800. The first
order of business will be to replace the internal battery. I found a
good tutorial on the process:

but it says it is specifically for the Poly 800II. Is the process the
same or close enough for the original? I know I should be searching
the previous posts, but there are tons of messages to wade through and
I thought I could bug you guys for a quick answer. Could someone
quickly tell me so or point me at a more relevant article on the
subject.
I'm probably going to do (or have done by a friend) the cutoff and
resonance knob mods, but first things first. Where can I get some
really cool looking knobs?
