and i've come up with some questions. With the moogslayer mod (don't have it, hope to get it) what exactly is being adjusted? Is turning the resonance and cutoff knobs exactly the same as tweaking the variables in the menu for these same values? Does the range increase? From what it sounds like, the knobs must adjust like ten times the range of the menu, turning the range of values in on themselves, creating a time-space vortex, unifying sound and matter, and sonically interrupting the molecular structure of small children and pets. Does that sound about right? More importantly, does the installation of the knob make it impossible to use the menu to set these parameters, can you get back to an "unmodded" position and work the instrument in a "stock" manner? I see a whole bunch of those little pot switches on the circuit boards, and i was wondering if each one represented a new opportunity for adjustment via knob? I've noticed that you can adjust some parameters in real time via the menu, while others cut out and back in if you adjust them. For instance, you can adjust the resonance and cutoff of the VCF in real time, holding a note down and hearing the difference as you adjust, but if you adjust anything about the delay (or indeed even switch to one of these parameters in the menu), the effect pauses and then comes back. Is this the difference between the digital and analogue portions of the unit? What i'm kinda hoping is to find that anything you can adjust on the fly will have a circuitboard pot associated with it, and i can install a bank of knobs to control other parameters like say the MG frequency. What do you think? When installing these mods, what specific type of solder and iron do i use? hmm. That's enough for this post. hit me! jon
