I have many synths and samplers but I only recently got my Poly 800 and I haven't played with one of those since 1986! It was a bit tatty and one key on the keyboard did't work but I fixed that. I changed the battery - fortunately it was a late model 800. I cleaned her up and added the infamous Moog Slayer mod to it for knob control for VCF cut off and resonance. For pics and sound samples head to: www.strellis.com/poly800.html As a bonus, there is a set of patches in mp3 format to download and load into your 800. These are from a defunct UK magazine called Electronic Soundmaker from 1985. For more info on this magazine including a review of these patches and to get the CD: www.strellis.com/escm.html If you are into synths generally from this period including Synclaviers and Fairlights you may want to check out this DVD: www.strellis.com/synthhistory.html Best regards Chris Yahoo!
