OK, just had a very half-baked idea, which I'll just chuck in without
fully developing ; )
Has anyone looked at dual-ganging the Y-axis of the joystick with the
filter cutoff mod? I'm just thinking that Y controls the MIDI
"modulation" signal, which with virtual synths I usually assign to
filter cutoff, so was kinda thinking maybe if you could use both the
poly's sounds and the VSynth's sounds at the same time, and use the
joystick's Y-axis to control filter cutoff of both os them...
Maybe a three-position switch on the front panel, to select between
purely cutoff, purely DCO / VCF modulation, and both at once?
Or if there was a way to change it so the MIDI signal was derived from
your cutoff-pot, rather than the joystck... with a switch so you can
reassign it to joystick... (don't know how the joystick pot interacts
with the MIDI signal, I guess I could check out the schematics, but
can't be bothered) ; )
