Digikey is more geared towards corporate buyers, hence discounts for parts bought in multiples of a thousand! I actually have had very good experiences with them. But then I never order less than $30 of stuff from them. On the plus side, you can BS them for "samples" sometimes. I gota bunch of different knobs this way once, another time I got a couple of lengths of resistors on tape reels(for machine insertion). Now that Radio Shack is getting out of the electronic geek market in favor of cell phones and tiny RC cars, ya gotta go online. Markertek.com is another great source of cables, adapters and such. Though some of the gear is MSRP, most things like switchcraft and neutrik plugs, are cheaper than anything you will find. --- eric <pauloakenfold666@...> wrote: > I just had a bad expierence with Digi Key the > makers of Battery > Holders useful if your Poly's battery craps out. > > They wanted to charge me $.97 for the holder + > $5.00 fee for orders > under five dollars + $5.00 shipping.
