ok, the sticker's just a sticker. i did a search and discovered that
enermax makes computer power supplies...
i haven't tried loading the factory sounds, but i'm pretty familiar with programming, so i fooled around with parameters and should've gotten something, but the sound coming out was pretty much the same bucket of mud for every patch. i'll be opening it up this weekend. i really hope i can get this baby going. i've wanted something with an arpeggiator for a long time. and it'll be a great companion for my ex800. speaking of gibberish, sometimes dying batteries can produce very cool bizarre sounds. i think this is the more the case with digital synths, but i wonder if it occurs with certain analogs as well?
thanks for the feedback,
shayne

It's probably just a sticker from a computer power supply some joker put on there. I have one on my Cell that came with the 485 watt PS I use for my music PC. Have you tried loading the factory sounds? When I got mine every preset sounded like gibberish, but I sussed the interface and figgered out that a lot of the presets were scrambled from having no battery. bn --- In korgpolyex@yahoogroups.com, Shayne Cafferata <scafferata@s...> wrote:a crippled dw8000 was recently passed on to me. at first i thoughtit
