Hello Group

First post here. Just wanted to know what the final OS version in the K4r is/was. When I
boot mine up and hold the "system" button it shows v1.2. I think v1.4 was final but I am
not sure of this at all. Anyone the absolute final version number?

According to Kawai, the last rev of the K4/K4r was v1.4. The page
describing all their synth's firmware revs (and how to check yours) is
here:

http://www.kawaius.com/roms.htm

I wouldn't lose too much sleep over having v1.2, however, upgrades may
still be available directly from Kawai. It's rather complicated,
involving credit card deposits, lots of waiting, disassembling your
synth, return mailing, etc. Probably not worth the trouble, unless
you've got a v1.0 or something....

Cool. Thanks for that link, perfect. Well, I already did the thing with Kawai today. Yes they
did credit card deposit which I will be refunded upon sending them my old ROM chip.
Hope it goes smoothhly.

Thanks for you speedy help and for a great link.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
