K4 - Change midi chanel by changing patch

Hi, On the K4, is there a way to assign a transmission channel to a patch? I want to use this keyboard as a controler, and would like to EASILY change the channel for my sampler/sequencer (Logic 7) to use the right sound by just changing th patch. Can this keyboard be used as a REALcontroler? This synth has always been a nightmare for me. :-/ thank you. :-) -- DM
