My K4R is a synth-module, but it is the same K4 without FX & keys. K4 has an internal core, that process and generate 'sounds' from 'zero'. You can manage a 'wave' by means of: LFO, DCA, DCF, DCO...buttons, modulating these 'parameters' and saving them in the internal RAM memory. Other method is, downloading 'K4 sysex files' from the net. You choose one and the edition software can load this file within the K4 through the MIDI cable, into the K4 MIDI in. If you generate 'new sounds' within the K4, you can send them to the PC through the MIDI output. Success !
