On the Mac I use SysEx Librarian.. (freeware)
works well.

it's easy to send/receive patch and perf. 
banks via midi with this tool.

There's a guy on Ebay that sells a 'rescue kit'
that has this program and a bunch of others
on it as well as a zillion patches.

worth it, unless you just want to try and hunt
everthing down on the internet yourself.

Battery on my k1m is toast.  The holder is soldered
in and it looks to be a bit tedious to replace. 

I just use an ext. memory card, then blast over 
the internal locations from the computer after
powering up.
