by the way...

by the way...

I was just looking through the member list & I don't see anyone
designated as owner or moderator of this group, what's up wit
dat? Anyway, in the first couple of posts you guys asked about
manuals & schematics for the K3, did you have any luck with the
site I sent you to? I have the owner's manual for the K3, but
no repair manual, let me know if you need it.
Wave lists, anybody?

Apparently, heavydub is the moderator, but his e-mails are also
bouncing. I guess I'll toss an e-mail to Yahoo! Groups admins and see
if they can promote some other group member to the role.

I was just wondering who the main dude was, but as long as we all
help each other out, who needs one? I haven't gotten back to working
with the waveform feature lately, but I was re-reading the manual &
I think I know what I was doing wrong last time, thanks...
Ash, if you send me your snail mail address I'll send you a copy of
my K3 manual, on sale this week for ONLY $999.99, plus 37 cents for
the stamp. Anybody else?
By the way, I wrote to KawaiUS.com on friday asking about a wave
list for the K1 & got a reply today from a guy there named Troy who
send he'd mail me a copy, no charge. Kool, huh? I asked him if he could
send me the K3 wave list too, so start lining up, guys... I don't have
a computer, I use this ol' Mac at work, but I'll ask around & see if one
of my co-workers can scan them in so you guys can download them,
otherwise we'll have to use the old fashioned method.

Update:
Troy tells me that the K3 does not have a separate wave list,
but the wave list for the K1 is on the way, I'll let you guys
know when it arrives...

I don't have enough stamps to send the copies tonight, so I'll have
to go by the post office first, in a few days
the wave list will probably arrive & I'll send them together...

manuals

2003-08-08 by jboy917

I can't believe that RC-2 cart just sold for $8.27 on e-bay!
What a steal, I was going to bid $25 just for the hell of it,
but I have 2 already & didn't really need it. As for whoever
needs manuals in the future, I had an idea. Why don't one
of you helpful dudes out there who has a computer find a
way to scan the manual & put it in the files section so
anyone who needs it can print it out? That would be nice.
Otherwise, there's a manual for sale on e-bay right now
for 2 bucks, and they're available from a site named
Mark Glinsky's Manual Manor for about $25.

Hi jonboy,

I lucked out and snagged the RC-2. I guess it makes up for all the
times that I pay more than I want to for something.

Great suggestion on the manual thing. If I nab one I'll scan the
sucker and put it up here, no problem. I think $25 for one is highway
robbery, but the market dictates, doesn't it? That's the great thing
about groups like these, with everyone helping each other out.

Would you mind filling me in on how to use the downloadable patch
libraries (K3, K3LIB, etc.)from the computer? Do you just extract the
files to the directory of your favorite midi capable application? I
use Sonar 2.0 and I would like to know how to switch back and forth
between the on-board patches and PC based patches via midi/sysex.
Sorry if this has been covered b4, but being new around these parts
and all...

Check out my webpage and studio pics/gear list at:
www.tah-usa.net/jars. I just joined forces with an engineer who has
computer based gear, so the control room looks much different than
the current pics. I hope to have new pics of the control room ASAP,
as my partner has some kewl keyboards i.e. Roland Juno-6 and Minimoog
(that's on my bench being restored right now).

Regards,
Rickey

Good going on the RC-2, can't believe you got it that cheap...
I wish I could help you on the downloadable patch libraries,
I'm not using a computer in my rig, still living in the stone
age, sorry... some day maybe. There oughta be someone in
this group that knows how, though...
