I don't know your finances so I'll just go ahead and say what I think
If you can just buy another K3 off e-bay or some other source as the
cost to hire someone and buy parts and commence labor($) it might be
less just to rebuy one . I paid $109.00 for my K3 off e-bay and while
it has some cosmetic flaws it works and sounds great. I'd keep your
other for parts if needed down the line. However if you have a good
tech near you have him or her give you an estimate for repair and go
from there.
