It blinks, huh? Well now, maybe it's waiting for you to press one of the numbered patch buttons, have you tried that? There should be sounds on every one, new ones too, unless the previous owner sold you an empty cart. Or the battery might be dead. I saw the item on e-bay & I don't remember if it said that it was loaded with sounds. All you should have to do is push the cartridge button & then go through the patch numbers. You've got it with the writing facing towards you, right?
