Hello! I just got my K3 today, my third Kawai. My K1rII and K4r have been very positive experiences, and the synth power they bring to the table is incredible for the price. I got the K3 (instead of the K3r) as an excuse to finally own a MIDI keyboard with aftertouch, although I'm going to have to practice more finesse-- I'm not used to modulating my downward pressure on the keys! It feels odd to control my other synths with it after five years of using another keyboard. The K3 has a very intriguing synth architecture. I find the programming interface much more accessible than the K1/4 series (though I think I'll stick with the Caged Artist K3 editor for wave editing!). Actually, the additive synthesis portion of the synth is very intresting. Has anyone else focused on wave 32? I'm disappointed I can only use one unique custom-wave at a time in a patch. If I had the memory expansion, could I create a patch that used two? I guess it'd be nice to own a manual. This is a bit of an architecture jump from a K1 or K4. Heh. K1, K3, K4. Now I just need to pick up a K5.... :) Ben
