K5 and BCR2000

2005-08-10 by nelsonj_sce

Hey group, long time no talk.
Does anyone know if a Berhringer BCR2000 can be used to control the K5
in real-time?

The BCR2000 lets you send sysex, but I don't know if the K5 responds to
sysex in real-time. All of the software out there seems to do a sysex
dump after the K5 is set to receive the dump. I think it would be nice
to be able to edit each harmonic via its own knob, rather than scolling
and editing one at a time.

Has anyone tried a BCR2000 with the K5?

Thanks.

When I use overtone, it's really slow drawing
harmonics(If I draw a preset shape). But once the
harmonic is displayed on the screen, I hear the sound
currently playing changing, so I guess it's realtime.

You should be able to control the harmonics in real time with sysex -
when editing with Dr.T's editor, the harmonics update in real time.
