Yes, me :-)

I have it and its fine. The only problem is the Screwholes will not
fit perfekt to a 3,5 to 5,25 Adapter Frame.
He says he will fix these in a view Weeks.

There were some talks a while ago about the new Rev. F of Lotharec's floppy emulator. Has anyone installed it in their E-II ? Any impressions ?

Re: [emulatorII-list] Re: Anyone installed Lotharec's SD Floppy Emulator Rev F ?

2012-10-28 by dblondin@dblondin.com

I have it installed in the top drive bay of an EII with a switch that
allows me to select between the two drives. The HxC is simple, convenient,
and powerful. And the software works pretty good too - a little buggy but
it's getting some good updates.

Same problem here with the screw holes not lining up. Also the housing of
the HxC is not threaded - actually it's too thin to be threaded. So the
only way I could secure it to the drive bay adapter was to use self
threading screws or small screws with nuts. I ended up drilling new holes
in the drive adapter to fit the hole alignment of the HxC and also I used
over-sized screws that seem to hold it securely in place.

My first test - I found some EII banks on line and used the HxC software
to batch convert them to the HxC format with just a couple of clicks.
Dropped those files onto and SD card and in 5 minutes I've got this little
SD card that's loaded with some wonderful Universe of Sounds banks and
loads - I should say unlimited - room to spare. And no legacy computer
gear or software needed to get the sounds installed.

Screw hole problem aside I'm very happy with it.

I like how tight and simple looking the drive adapter looks. Here's the
way I have it for the time being:

This Old Synth located it while the EII was dropped off for a number of
modifications, it's used so no way to know for sure.
