The EII originally used 2764 N-MOS 64kb eproms; finding those unused or NOS is hard nowadays.
As far as I can see from the specs, C-MOS variants (27C64) can be used too in the E-II.
Co-member djlitwin once reported that he was able to use a Fujitsu N-MOS 2764 eprom with 200 ns access time as a replacement for his original Hitachi 2764 eprom. The original one was 300 ns I think (see files section: the txt file in the technical->roms folder)

The ST 27C64 eprom suggested by Wolgang seems OK to me from specs point of view. Of course the programming must be done with different voltage levels, but the operational characteristics seem compatible (including access time and TTL input compatibility)...

But Wolfgang will be able to give us the final confirmation, right ? :-)

ye you can replace N Ms with C mos. difference is less power consuming... (green green world ;)

ok! iam back on track! pole position yeaa! today i get the eprom burner. i was burning successful the scanner rom 3.1 on to the IC!! iam happy now because everything is like the first day! lol that means now i have to look for the other problems.

the eII dont boot from floppy or hxc only the message in display (insert disk emu rev 3.1)
i also use the diagnose disk an than it shows me "Err BnkA 0815F Data: FC S/B: FE) esynthesis said me that i have to reseat the ICs on the memory board. i try it in one row of the ICs! anyone here with experience about that? and is it really so effective to resolder the powersubly? thx krellinski

today i was cheking the conection at the powerboard all conections were fine. only one of the yellow cabel was not continuous! the one out to the second board left side than to the floppys! is that normal? thx
