Hello, seems like something has happened to my EII HD and it wants to boot from floppy.
I have no floppy disks for it at all. What are my options? Please heeelp!
I can make you a copy of HD OS 3.1 on a floppy and send it to you if you're willing to cover shipping costs (and the cost of a floppy). I'm in the United States. Just let me know!
Best,
DBM

I STRONGLY recommend keeping at least a few flopppies for this very purpose if nothing else. They're still very easy to get. A few months ago I stocked up on blank floppies from eBay. My originalsjust kept me from having some similar grief.During the last year or two, the original HD lost its contents a few times then eventually would notrecord at all. I recently got a better quality replacement HD, it'scurrently waiting for me to install it. If yours has completely failed as well, could that indicate weareat the end of the life expectancy for that particular type of HD?
This is an important point. It's essential that EII+ HD owners keep extra copies of the HD operating system on floppy disks. If the internal HD dies, there is no other way to get the machine going.
