This is an 80x36. We had to try two different ones and it works just fine.
Remove the stock LCD inverter, swap the chip discussed to avoid jibberish, and add a pot for contrast.
Not very plug and play as you have to use risers, 2 screws, and silicone.
But hey it works and it looks really nice.
