E-II sample input doesn't work...

I tried sampling from various sources and can't get the input level indicator to "see" anything arriving from the sample input interface (jack). I'm afraid there's some bad connecting between the input jack and the rest of the circuit... I looked at the schematics to see where the sample input goes on the circuit, and found this: http://www.fileden.com/files/2009/5/8/2434738//EII input.JPG Is this the sample input line ? or am I looking at something else ? I can't find any physical connection between the live input and leg 14 of IC76 as on the schematics... Thanks !
