how do you know that ? i did what you said, pulling them off carefully, cleaning, and put it back, cleaned everything i could all arround, on the boards, and it works fine since 15 minutes now !

i'm not sure to understand what you mean about the cycle counting for the voice. Anyway, it works !
i've noticed something, maybe is it important ? there's abolutely no chip on C97 C147 C57 and C159 ... ( ??? )
i wonder where i could buy some chips, for some replacements. and how could i know the purpose of each C or IC ? when i have a problem, is there a way to determine it, and know wich IC or C is wrong on the boards ?
I'd like to try the HXC floppy drive emulator, as i've seen it working on a dpx-1, and save all my samples. one of my floppy drives doesn't work,or doesn't recognize the floppys. i didn't try to clean it, i wonder if it can be saved.
this emulator II belonged to the keyboard player of the group "Berlin", ( top gun theme song ) , and was used by Don Henley, used for "building the perfect beast album. I still got the big anvil case with "don henley written in white on it.

Hi, it seems your problem is the AMIS3528 (low pass) chips located just below the SSM2045 chips (C87-C94).. and there is also an S3528 at IC86 for the mix output. Try re-seating/cleaning the IC contacts/socket, this may rejuvenate the problem chip/s. It is common for these S3528 chips to be a suspect with a "warmed-up" EII experiencing voice problems. Usually when a voice chip fails, it will be evident immediately upon power-up/play on a "cold" EII. So far, have you isolated the problem voice/s by cycle-counting the voices w/ each key pressing, or by using the individual outs? The voices on the actual digital board would be as follows: 1 (J8) 2 (J7) 3 (J6) 4 (J5) 5 (J4) 6 (J3) 7 (J2) 8 (J1) mix output (J9)
