E2 files question

E2 files question

2010-06-17 by J SINCLAIR

Hi there, I've used an E2 since the 80's with various bands and recently got a 3 CD set of sounds, which is way more than I've ever seen, the full library I believe. I've set up a Mac Classic with custom cable/Sound Designer and the few disks I had are now transferred to a Jaz drive, which all works fine for transfer/storage etc. The new CD files however are not recognised by the Mac/Sound Designer. Am I right in thinking I've to somehow convert them from EII to SD files? The CD files all end in .EII
Would appreciate any advice, best, John

Hello John,
Your files are probably missing their Mac resource forks because they have been on a PC. Look in the Macintosh Utilities folder in the file section for FileTyper and the instructions on how to fix this.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
