Midi program change on my E2 + HD.

Midi program change on my E2 + HD.

Is it possible to issue a midi program change in a sequencer and have the program change load a specified bank on the E2 + HD? And if it is capable of loading banks is there also an option to load sounds from a Macintosh attached to the E2 + HD. Can the E2 communicate with the Mac and midi at the same time?

You can pre-load a bank and then use midi to change/call presets within that bank. But AFAIK you cannot issue bank load commands over midi.

On a double memory E-II+ (which can have two banks loaded at the same time), you may be able to switch between the two preloaded banks over midi (midi bank change command), but Im not sure 100% about this.

IMO if you must have multiple banks available during a midi sequence, the best option is to have both an E-II and Oberheim DPX-1 handy.

PS: AFAIK Midi and E-II Mac Communication together in realtime is also not possible.
