Emulator II, serial number 53

Emulator II, serial number 53

2009-02-24 by camvanderhorst

I've been wanting an EII for a long time, and today, I finally got
one! I bought serial number 53 to restore. It came with none of the
original sample disks but a few new ones from Northstar. It needs a
new drive as the current one won't load the disk. I also plan on
replacing the LCD and a couple of keys. It would be nice to find new
overlays and repaint the case but I'm not too picky. Anyone here have
any spare drives or boot disks/original sample library disks? -Cam

Hey, I actually have #54, so our EIIs likely shared a bench at one point.

I've been casually trying to sell mine locally, but to no avail.

Have fun with your new keyboard!

Hi, congrats on picking up your EII. The Northstar disks will have the
OS on them to boot the EII but only when you can sort out a FDD.
Unfortunately, 5.25" drives are VERY hard to come by. Look on the
database here for compatible models. Alternatively, you can pick up a
3.5" FDD kit here:

...but you'll still need some a kind EII owner with a 3.5" FDD on
their own EII to copy you a disk for booting.

Good luck.
