members removed due to bouncing

members removed due to bouncing

2009-01-11 by Richard

There was no mistake made the members that were removed were removed
because they had months/years of hard bouncing history. Hex If your
not sure how this works read below.

Soft bounces (busy signal) happen when your email box fills up and
new mail gets returned with a "mailbox full" message.

Hard bounces (number disconnected) happen when you cancel your email
address or change ISPs. Messages to the old email address will get
returned with a "user unknown" type of message. Also, some free email
services like Yahoo and Hotmail will deactivate an email address if
you haven't logged in to their service within some time period and
then you'll see "account deactivated" type of messages, these are
also hard bounces.

When these bounces are received by the list interface, Yahoogroups,
Smartgroups, Topica, Mailman, etc., the list interface may set you to
bouncing status and stop sending you list mail. Yahoo also sends you
a repeated ping message to let you know that your Email is not
working.

Sorry if this caused any issues but I have yet to see or hear from
any of these members as their emails were all dead long ago. I am a
little pissed I was removed as a Moderator for doing standard
maintenance on the list as it is my job. But whatever....

FS: CDS3 User Manual and UOS Listing

2009-01-11 by rob

Hi list,
I have quite a rare Emulator II document for sale, befoe it goes to ebay.

It is a the OMI Digital Sound Library Directory and the CDS3 User Manual.
Its a 14cm x 22cm ring bound original manual from OMI in average condition.
A listing of all the samples in the Universe of Sound CDROM, plus detailed
instructions for operating the CDS3 CDROM drive.
Including the Mac CDS3 software instructions - but not the software..:-(.

I have never seen one of these manuals before, and it hasn't been scanned
online, so its quite unique.
If you'd like it drop an email to rob@...

Thanks
Rob
