Emax Power Supply question...

Emax Power Supply question...

2009-01-05 by umi4m

Its a long shot, but thought someone in this group have the answer. I
am trying to repair a blown power supply on an emax. The culprit is
R5 burnt out resister. Anyone happen to what the value should be for
R5? Or have a schematics for this PS?

Thank You

Thanks a million!

Do you happen to know is there any difference between an Emax 1 and Emax II  power supply?

The R5 on the EMAX1 PSU is a large grey colored resistor w/ blue(6), grey(8), black(0), and a gold stripe. This would make it a 680 ohms resistor w/5% tolerance (due to the gold stripe at the end).. The R14 resistor looks similar but has a violet stripe instead of blue making it a 780 ohms resistor. Hope this info helps
