Ive used Toast 3.5 which requires a 68040 based Mac or better with
System 7.5. Even then I couldnt burn much faster than 2X without errors.

Its doubtful your 8 MHz 68000 Mac Classic with System 7.0 meets any
writing softwares requirements. Youll probably also run into SCSI
throughput problems with a Mac Classic, so if you do find something
that works try burning at 1X.

If you want to create the disc on a Windows XP/Vista machine, you can
use TransMac. The trial version is valid for 30 days and is fully
functional. I created my SDII HFS cdroms and SDEmax HFS cdroms with
this software.

I assume you are compiling your CD-Rom on the PC before writing, so
what happens to the Mac resource forks with this method E-Synth?

You can configure in Transmac how to translate DOS extensions to Mac
resource forks.
So I add a line in Transmac's configuration window instructing the
software to translate .EII files to E2BK XFER resource forks.

The same method as in MacDisk.

Essential info if you want to wind up with a working disc. If not too
much trouble, please post the exact line you add in Transmacs config
window (or a screenshot to the photos section) so we have it recorded
in the archives. Thanks.

I would love to give the details but... unfortunately my free license
has expired so I can't start the Transmac software anymore.
And I want to wait with installing the free version on my other PC
until the time I actually need it again (given the fact that it's
only active for 30 days :-)
