In the beginning...

I bought my emu II+ because it looked interesting and came with a cool case. I have not regretted buying it yet, it rocks! I would eventually like to upgrade and am afraid I might have already busted it or some such non-sense. From reading the posts I have a few things to try before I am sure of any problems that havent already been addressed, re: having the insert diskette problem .. the wrong 5 1/4 " floppy disks, probably the wrong jumper setting on the PC Disk drive I jimmied up to it and I may have already messed up my boot disk. I got it to work, then took it apart to clean it and wd-40 it and when put back together it recognized the disk, said "blah blah 3.1" but still said insert diskette on top of the bios message, and now refuses to boot, and the lights no longer go on. I am going to get back to it when I get home and begin anew on sunday, this is fun stuff! Hope to learn a lot about the emulator from you all and its nice to find other people interested in similar esoterica. I was beginning to feel wierd getting all excited about my emu and getting reactions ranging from sideways coughs and incoherant mumblings to all out lack of enthusiasm :). Heres to music, Earthchilde
