Hi Guys-

My dead voice is fixed!! After unsuccessful DIY troubleshooting, I had 
found a reasonable, local synth tech. He found out that there was an 
open circuit between Pin 11 of the DAC and R179. As a consequence the 
DAC had no reference voltage and that screwed up its audio output.  He 
reflowed the soldering points on R179 and some other critical 
components while he was at it, including all joints on the PSU. The 
EII now functions like new! Took him 3 hours and he charged me $75, 
which wasn't bad at all!

What an amazing piece of equipment, sounds sooo phatt!! I will never 
evever sell this baby!!

Thanks again to everyone who helped me troubleshoot.

Congrats George :) Please post the name and contact info for your
tech. This way fellow list members in your area know who to call when
they need help with the tough stuff. ;)
